Most Artists charge by the hour, but cost also depends on additional factors like travel, the number of faces to be drawn, the number of hours you may want to hire them for, and / or paper vs. digital images.
Generally, a typical caricature drawing takes anywhere from 4 to 6 minutes per face which means one artist can cater to up to 15 guests per hour depending on how detailed the drawings might be. Traditionally, portraits are approximately 11 inches wide by 14 inches tall (can be either vertical or horizontal) and are designed to fit into a standard 11” x 14” frame or a standard 16” x 20” frame with mat.
